Since I'm a newb at the boating thing I need some help on what adhesives and caulks/silicone to use for various applications.

-is there a specific type of silicone caulk to use when mounting small things like electronics on the screws or will the run of the mill bathtub stuff be fine?

-4200 or 5200 for motor/jack plate bolts right?

-Devcon for transducers?(is that because it's got good yield strength like for making golf clubs? I imagine the same for covering small screw holes that are hidden(under carpet or non-skid) or if you're doing a dowel fill hole repair right?

-Marinetex on hulls if it's not too big or deep right?

-Carpet I think I have figured out, either the stuff that the suppliers sell or contact cement, how about that non-fuming non-flammable contact cement? or is that not waterproof.
