    115 hp starting problems

I had a hard time getting the motor started on my 95 Javelin 360 fs 115hp johnson. Talked to the mechanic on the phone and he said their is a lever to adjust the idle when starting. This boat is new to me and I thought this lever would be present but I have yet to find it. Is it possible it doesn't exist?

    Welcome to the BBC.

Your should have a consealed side mount control box, there is a button in the center of the lower handle, push in on that button and move the handle forward, this is throttle only.

As for your hard starting try this, prime fuel bulb until firm, trim motor level (in the water of coruse) turn key to on position, push in on key and hold in, crank motor, when motor starts release key, wait 2 seconds and push in on key, push in on key (waiting 2 seconds) 3 times and the motor should start and run fine.
