Cat clawed holes in the top of my backrests.

After donating my cat to the chinese restaurant down the street, what should I do?
I'm worried about water seeping in the holes and doing God knows what to my seats.
Really don't want to pay for new upholstry. What would that cost anyway? Sucks, because my seats are in perfect shape. Now it looks like somebody took needle and started stabbing them to death. Please don't say duct tape.

You can get vinyl repair kit from auto parts store -- comes w/ dye and whatnot-- used one a couple years ago worked well -- Practice in a hidden spot-- Did not own mower(used on John Deere seat) long after so can not say about long term.Hope this helps
