    ? about my 96 Intruder

The local dealer stop carrying xd-50,only xd-100, says I can just dump in in tank. My guestion is since I set up for 50 wont it waste it by putting too much into engine. Cost was by one ,second is half price so it was almost same as buying two xd-50. I understand its better and all, but he says nothing needs to be change. By the wayhe is a Yammie dealer but sells all brand of oil. Thankhs very much guys, P.s. Ican drive aways and get xd-50 from my ranger dealer

I have run Penzoil Semi Synthetic for the past 5 yearsin my 96 Intruder. Prev owner said thats all he ran. $10-$14.00 per gallon at Walmart and Advanced Auto. Seafoam every few tanks and DeCarb every Fall. Motor runs great, very little smoke and never stalls.

    Re: ? about my 96 Intruder (mark482vs)

Your mixing ratio willl not change. It does not matter which oil you run because your 96 Intruder is not capable of changing the ratio like the early model E-tech motors. If my memory is correct all the E-tech motors now come from the factory with a non adjustable ratio.

XD 30= 100% dinasour oil, will produce more carbon because of ashes in the oil, will lube the motor but you will have to replace plugs more often and de carbon the motor.

XD50= a semi syenthic blend...50% dinasour oil 50% full syenthic, better than XD30 but will stilll have to decarbon the motor just not as often.

XD 100 a full syenthic oil. An ashless formula that does not create carbon problems. I have heard that this oil actually has cleaners in it that will actually clean the carbon from your motor.

If I had been running XD50 and was going to switch to XD100 permentantly I would run a couple of tanks of gas with a shock treatment of carbon cleaner(Seafoam) or buy the spray and decarbon the motor that way. Running XD 100 is the best thing you can do for your motor...now with that beng said do I run XD100 no...It is a execellent oil but my motor has been running Amsoil HP Injector ( 100% syenthic) oil for the last 9 years and I have no intentions of switching but XD 100 would be my 1st choice.

In my opinion anything with two stroke motor needs to run a 100% fully syenthic oil. Carbon is hard on two strokes and will build up easy running regular conventional oil. A syenthic blend is good but a full syenthic is best

XD 100 all the time and twice a year run a dose of Seafoam your motor will be carbon free

I run nothing but XD 100 in my 96 FastStrike (same engine as yours) and runs like a top..................pull the plugs and take a peek inside and she is clean as a pin................virtually no smoke either !!!....................................RR
