    Holes...

So, as I've said previously the guy who owned my boat before me obviously had no regard for keeping the boat visually in order. There were no less than 8 holes drilled in the bow of the boat (I had to drill 3 more because I got a motorguide TM...

I'm just wondering what everyones thoughts on my options here are...
I thought of gluing a nonslip step pad on the bow, or I could certainly plug the holes, but
I'm not sure how comfortable I am doing glass work on the top of my boat, with very little or no access to the other side...

I can take some photos if anyone is interested...

MarineTex, gelcoat repair kit or get some of the push in plastic hole plugs (hardware store).

    Re: Holes... (ProcraftMike)

I was more wanting to cover the eyesore as well...
I don't know that I could do that with marine-tex or plugs.
I'm not even going to start to pretend I could color gelcoat to match either.

I think I would plug the holes with Marine-Tex and then put one of the non-skid mattes cut to fit to cover it all up.

That would be a big screw... These holes are 3/8" across...

Do as above, and if you have to get a big piece of non skid from some place like Northern Tool, just cut it to fit and cover the holes once you filled them. That way you have a nice non skid area to step on, your holes are filled. Isn't a perfect fit, but it fits the pocket book nicely!

    That's what I'd do.
