    oxidation

Is there any products out there that will remove oxidation on fiberglass bass boats.
I have a 1990 Procraft Stalker 170 with black and silver speckled fiberglass and I can't seem to remove it. I've used an orbital buffer with rubbing compound. It helps but doesn't really make a dent. Thanks

    Re: oxidation (curlcom)

Seems harsh but wet sanding with 400-600 grit sandpaper and then coming back and hitting it with a polisher and buffer is the ticket. Did it to my 1989 and it shined like new. Orbital buffer also doesn't have enough power, use an electric sander/buffer with rubbing compound or polish. Try a test spot somewhere first so you can get the hang of it.

    Re: oxidation (CajunCopper)

I would get a real buffer and a wool pad white compound(2000 grit) and try a spot.

orbital will not get it......if you have to sand i would use 1200 and wet sand it then buff i would not use anything anymore agressive than that you can sand into the flake very fast with anything more aggressive......
