    MARINE OR OUTDOOR CARPET.

    What is the different between marine carpet and outdoor carpet?

    i do believe it how it is produced. i think the knapp is open looped on marine, and closed on outdoor. could be wrong, i'm sure there will be others to chime in.

    I also think the backing material is different.

    The outdoor carpeting has the rubber padded backing I think. Sounds like it would be great for the boat, but there must be a reason why you shouldn't use it.
