Looking to extend deck on alluminum boat

Has anyone done this? Looking for pictures to use as a guide. Was going to use 90 degree angle alluminum with fiberglass resin coated ply with 1/8" sheet alluminum over the whole thing. It is the front deck that I am extending. Before Picture. After original restoration.

I was thinking about adding a piece about 24 to 36 inches back from the original front deck instead of rebuilding it as a one piece deck.

have someone weld together a deck extension out of aluminum so that all you have to do it screw it down or something...it would be sturdy
