A few questions....Was it a flake repair or a solid color? Do you have a pic of it...
You can try to sand it out ,BUT if its huge you will probably go thin before you get it out and have to re spray it..You might be able to soften it up somewhat by sanding and buffing. did you repair it yourself and can you spray gel?
It is on a Skeeter white gel bought gel from mini craft per skeeter suggestion.
Area repaired was at stern light had multiple stress cracks, routed filled sanded smooth,air brushed,wet sanded, etc

scott i would sand it out,and hope it comes out before you go thin on the gel..
Do you still have gel coat to re spray it with?
how are you curing the gel? Are you using patch aid or something similar that has a surfacing agent in it?
I used 50/50 gel and duratec hi gloss with mekp and surfacing wax addative.I do have some top coat reducer also but used the duratech because of my experence with it on my basscat.

wet sand it with 1500 and a block try to get it to blend i think you will get most of it out if you are lucky...
