Wet Sanding.

Going to try wet sanding before I take my fiberglass fenders to the body shop to get redone.

They are not terrible but after I buff them the dullness seems to come back.

Have never done it before. Did some searching on the web and found some info but wand some solid advice to go off of.

    Thanks.

    Re: Wet Sanding. (Jeff S)

2000 grit wet in a straight back and forth motion. Follow up with an ultra fine cut FINISHING compound and a high speed buffer. Do not use a coarse cut compound. Don't bother with an orbital or by hand. Speed makes the heat and friction needed to gloss the finish up. Then follow with a good wax of your choice.
