It comes in dark grey and white but can be tinted some with various colors if needed. The package recommends a brand of tint. I find that if you tint it, it takes a lot longer to set up but still works fine. It sands like wood but if you apply it carefully, it doesn't need sanding. I usually shape it when it is still wet but starting to dry. It gets a peanut butter like consistency and smooths very well with various tools and a little water to dampen the tools.
Before you put it on an area, very lightly sand the area for roughness and wipe with solvent. Then when the area is dry you can apply the Marine Tex. Always mix after your repair area is prepared.
