Hi guys. Great board. I am going to replace the transom in a 1975 Kingfisher 152 Pro. Before starting on the transom i am trying to determine how the floor is constructed. On both sides for approx. 4in. it is solid glass, then (on the bottom) it steps down so that the floor is approx. 2in. thick to the keel. My question is; is there wood in there. The floor is solid to walk on but then so is the raised deck that the front ped is mounted on and i know i have woodrot in that area. (the Pro part of the name comes from the raised front deck) Any help would be appreciated.
Kingfisher shut down in the early 90's. I read somewhere that they used balsam in their boats but that may or may not apply to this boat.
