I am working on a repair of a transom and had a question. I can clean out the old rotten wood and then cut new wood to replace it but ... what do I use to bond the old wood to the new wood? I only plan on using a 35hp motor.
Any ideas?
Thanx :)

I just used west system resin and a slow hardener and pressed it down hard aginst the back of the transom area. I know I didn't get every bit of old wood out but I did get most out. I roughed what was left up for some area to bite. I hope this helps and that you get it figured out. Others on here may have a better idea for ya.
Do a web search for SeaCast. It is a pourable material. May be what you need to do the job.
