    Proper Trim ?

    When trimming motor up how do you know what is the proper trim? I know that trimming also affect how hi the rooster tail is.


    1987 Procraft 1780V, 150 Mercury XR2 Blackmax and now a 2021 Ranger Z185, 150 Pro XS.

    Trim is many variables. At WOT increase trim till you reach max speed, if you bump trim and rpm's increase and speed doesn't increase or if you increase trim and you loose control of boat, chinewalk. At lower speeds, I trim till the rpm's stop increasing after a bump of trim or the boat is handling the way I want it.
