I have a 2001 triton tr 20 with a 200 merc efi that i'm haveing trouble getting any speed right now I'm topping out at 60 mph. It had a 10'' jack plate when I got it and after talking to triton and 2 or 3 triton dealers they all said I should have a 6'' plate on it. so I have put a 6'' plate on it and started 3.5'' below the pad and worked up in .25'' increments untill I started looseing water pressure and seen no change in speed but my hole shot has improved. I have since started thinking about changeing props. I talked to mercury and they put me intouch with b blades he was once in charge of their raceing division untill he went out on his own. Right now I am running a 25p tempest plus I gave him my numbers and according to him I'm getting a lot of prop slip he figured it at about 20% he suggested maybe going to a 24p 4 blade prop. Just wondering what some of you thought
