My ALFA boat insurance was declined because the 1993 SS90 Skeeter did not have a Maximum Speed rating on the USCG Plate. There was a maximum 90 HP rating and maximum weight on the plate. What year did the USCG start rating maximum speed?

they don't.....my boat is 1 yr old, and no speed rating is on the plate

This is news to me, I have owned many boats and none of them had a speed rating. I would give Bob a call and see what he can do for you.
There is no maxium speed rating on a boat...only maxium horsepower.
