i spoke to a rep from the dnr the other day and he said that it suppose to go in front of legislature to lift the slot limit starting in 2008.he said that the slot limit has done its job and there is no reason to have it anymore.glad to here this.tournament fishing will be great at the lynn!
That's cool! I'd like to see them put a slot on Burnsville and Sutton, I think the slot really helps the fishery. Whats your opinion on it, Jami, you think it helped.

I hope they do stop the slot at the lynn, yes it will help the tourneys there. I do think a slot helps anywhere but east lynn, that lake has too much dead water ( lack of oxygen ) . DNR really needs to put fans in that lake like they did beech fork, it has really helped that lake. But we have too many idiots around here that keep every bass they catch, thats what hurts the lynn. Did you hear about the new state record saugeye that came from the lynn this past october. It weighed like 8.5 lb and was 27 " long. They have the fish in the aquarium at cabelas in wheeling .Glad someone caught something nice out of the lynn this year sure was not me.
Stot limits works great to help bass pop. but only if you keep them in place when you take them off it won't take long to put a hurt back on them If your getting good numbers of bass now that should show you the slot is working take it away

i think fishing pressure hurts east lynn more than anything.those friday and sunday tournaments.through the spring it's every sat and sun there are clubs and open tournaments.lake to small for that much pressure.it does have good fish in it.but it is just hard to catch them.also the silt that is flowing down east fork is hurting it.we are losing fishing area every year.if the core cared about that lake they would do something about it.it needs dredged out in the upper end.
has anyone heard anything about the marina?
i don't think slot limits help fishing.i think size limits do though.just my 2 cents.
lawdawg any update on railroad school.they keep telling me first of the new year for my area.
my friends that are engineers with csx told me after the first of the year you no longer had to go to the school and pay for it out of your pocket. You would be hired on and they sent you to school in I think georgia. I had applied for a trackworker job in huntington a few weeks ago but have not heard nothing yet. I really would rather get on with norfolk southern as a trackworker, much better money if you dont mind travelling alot.
i heard about that to.in a way i hope it is not true.really don't want to go to georgia for weeks.
