    drain plug seal

I have a 1993 evinrude 115 v4. Neither the drain/fill plug nor the top one have a gasket, o-ring, or seal with the plug. Is it supposed to? They are both magnetic plugs. Thanks.

yea they should, but sometimes they stick inside the bolt hole to the case.

Re: drain plug seal (rude power)

ok, so if they are not there then what do I use as a seal? is it a specific o-ring or gasket? I cant believe they are both gone if they were supposed to be there. My repair manual doesnt say one way or another.

most dealers carry them, but if it wasn't leaking it may be in the bolt hole, they are really hard to see,I have to take a pointed object an Peck it to see if its metal or a flat gasket
