    Disappointing day at Swains

Well, the dry sunny day was not to be. I got there about 9:30 and it was mist and overcast. I did talk with Ty and Kevin who were there much earlier than I. Fishing was slow, but it was a day of fishing. I ended with 3 small bass and a pickerel. Nice to see you guys

Re: Disappointing day at Swains (Big Al)

Shoulda came to Bow Lake ,,,,,, On the water at 5:45 am and it was a bit chilly, of the water by 11:00.
I caught a total of 13, all Smallies all were in the 2 to 3 lb area..
2 on a Top Water Chug Bug early, then 2 more on a Silver Buddy and the rest were off beds.

They were not quite in full BED MODE just yet, maybe by next week there will be more on then off.

There were smallies bedding @ Swains but the dark stained water and the wind made it difficult to even see a Chart. bait on the beds and difficult to see the fish.
I ended the day with 6,4 SM 2 LM.
    Biggest was a 2 1/2 SM

Strange, but we only saw 2 smallies that were bedding on Pleasant, water temp was 62 degrees. Not sure if that's too warm for them? Largies were getting ready to bed down though, they were in clean up mode, LOTS of "green" beds, just starting to clean them up.

Re: Disappointing day at Swains (Snover)

Water temp on Swains was 58-60 depending where you were on the lake.
I saw about 10 beds with fish on them.
You really had to sit there and look to see them
