Before those guys from Intervale chime in.
I KNOW they have a towel in their hands.

"home" lake..lots of pressure, but I don't want all those guys from my club coming down and beating me...think Travis might feel the same way. Got a good first spot, try and grab 2 good fish each then go hunting for kicker largies.

Re: For all you guys polishing yer boat for tomorrow. (cyclone70)

Saturday TX Report: First spot, where I had slammed 3 beauts last week, yielded zero...all three times I hit it nhbass said to hit a spot over on the bank and he grabbed 2 quick ones on a jig. By 10 I had nothing, which added up to 19 hrs on tournament fishing for 2011 and no fish!! Grabbed my cajones and went out and put 2 keepers in the boat by 10:30...it had nothing to do with nhbass bringing up that previously mentioned fact
Totals for the day were all 15 club members had 2 fish. Best two totaled 6.30. I had 5.75 for 4th place and nhbass was 4.75 for 8th place. Super tough day on what is normally a great lake-especially this time of year. We ran all over the place which we don't normally do. It still beat working, though...

Sorry you guys didn't have a better day.It was pretty cool out there.
I'm sure the wind direction didn't help any.

    Hey the skunk is off
Did you go running around because you have a faster boat or because you had spots trying to upgrade? Sometimes it takes a while to adjust to the new boat, if you were successful before with the smaller slower boat, just fish the way you used to.
You deserve a couple at least.

We ran because we had too...really trying to resist the temptation to run just because we can...I think the only way the faster boat will affect the way we fish is we may be more likely to make that first run in the am a little longer...because we can!

The wind changed direction 3 times yesterday...west, northwest, southeast...and the temp dropped all day. I don't feel too bad about the tournament. Everybody struggled and I was less than a half pound behind the winner-with no largie in my bag. We tried so hard for largies yesterday, but no luck. Not even any cruisers to speak of.

The only largies I caught yesterday were all small and they were short striking to boot.
