    '85 Johnson GT150

Last year I was getting water in my lower unit. I narrowed it down to a bad seal in the bearing carrier. Replaced the seal and have been using the BRP Green fluid.

Now when I drop the plug, no water comes out. However, LU fluid that comes out is is a lighter(whiter) green especially compared to the couple of drops that come out of the top hole when I remove that plug. Is this normal, or am I still getting water in the LU? It has been a week since I ran the engine, shouldn't the water seperate from the fluid, assuming that is what is going on?

If I let a couple ounces drain it starts to get darker again.

    Thanks,
    Greg
    My Bass-n-Beach rig:
    92 Ebbtide Dyna-Trak 181SS Fish-n-Ski -
    98 Evinrude 150 Intruder
    74lb MinnKota
SOLD all the above Fall of 2010 - bought a big open bow Larson "family" boat. Family does not like the Mississippi River as much as I do, so I sold that in the fall of 2012.
I'm thinking it is time for a straight up bass boat.

I would have the gearcase pressure and vacuum tested to be sure you fixed the leak.
