Original plan was to go to Monomonac Saturday morning with a friend and drive around in circles all day finding spots to fish. I'm sticking to the NH side, not worth the money for a Mass. license for a couple of days of fishing when there's plenty of water on the NH side.
But, as it looks right now, Hurricane Earl is changing my plans. Probably skip fishing altogether Saturday, hit Monomonac on Sunday morning, and maybe go again Monday.

Oh, cool.I've never fished in a lake that is on the border of Mass and NH, so I've never had to think about that situation before. I just assumed that you would need a fishing license for both states. Had I assumed that you didn't need a separate license, then with my luck, I would have needed both, gotten caught with 1, DQ'd, and given a fine. Such is the way things happen in my life.
That's why I always assume for the worst.
But anyways, thanks for letting me know, I appreciate it.

Hey Tim wanna fill my back seat on Sunday (it's open)?
(Probably fish till noon)
Hey Snover I have not been on that lake for a few years, but as I remember it the worst part of the lake was right near the launch ramp out a little ways near the markers, most of the lake was marked pretty well.
At least on the Ma. side.![]()
Might be a little low now but this rain may help that. Good luck.

Thanks Greg. I'm going to go in there and take it nice and slow whenever I do go out there this weekend. The goal this weekend is to do a decent amount of fishing, but more driving around and finding/marking the danger zones and spots to fish. Hoping to get out there twice this weekend, and again on Thursday night to see what the water temp is and whatnot for a bit of last minute scouting. I don't care if I come in dead last at this tourney, I just want to weight in a full limit, and that will make me happy.
On a side note, I just got done installing a new transducer for my boat, to replace the one I accidentally broke off at Pawtuckaway. Got it from factoryoutletstore.com. Paid for 2 day shipping to make sure I had it installed for the weekend, got it today in 1 day.Hard to beat that. Install was a cinch too.
its supposed to be windy sat and sun at least thats what it said on my ipod touchI wont be fishing sat or sunday because I HATE the stupid wind

Depending on just how windy it is, I'll try to sneak out Sunday morning. I'm with you though, wind sucks. People keep telling me it makes for good fishing, but that's if you're good with a spinner bait or jerk bait, and I suck using both of those.

I'm gonna say this once, next windy day bring 3 or 4 spinnerbaits with you and LEAVE everything else home ! Force yourself to throw the damned things. I'm willing to bet you'll develop some confidence in them. There's not a ton of magic in tossing 'em.Option numba 2, head this way during the week and we'll go and I'll put you on some spinnerbait fish...... gauranteed![]()
Cyclone, any idea how low the water level is at Swains?
Sean, get yourself some Rocky Ledge spinnerbaits. Wherever I go it is the first lure I throw, especially when there is wind.

Alright, I'll do it. The goal is to not really catch that much fish this weekend anyways, but mainly look for spots, so what better time to try it than this weekend? I'll bring my jig rod too though, just in case. I promise not to touch it til I'm about to leave, and only if I haven't caught a single fish. I haven't been skunked yet this year, and I plan on going skunk free all year!
