About a month ago, I cut myself and it hurt like a B&stard. After a couple of days it was healing nicely. About 2 weeks later, I bumped it and I thought I was going to the moon. I got it x-rayed later in the day and there was a piece of metal about 5/8 inches long going across my pinky. It was too deep to dig out myself. I went to my PCP(waste of time) and he refered me to a surgeon. I had it removed today and it was a piece of metal that was incased in fiberglass. It was almost 1/8 inch in diameter. The DR. that did the work was real good and he gave me 4 stitches. They are real close to each other so I won't scar too much. I'm still waiting for the throbbing sensation to start. Fishing this weekend should be interesting.
