    Re: Newfound (FishNH)

I haven't fished that lake in a few years now. They could be on beds at this time. If I'm not mistaken, that lake heats up pretty quick. I haven't decided where I'm going yet. Maybe I'll see you there. I'm leaning towards Winni though.

    Re: Newfound (Mac)

The fishing today on Newfound was awesome. We launched at 7am and I was culling 3 pounders by 7:15am. Several over 4 were weighed-in including one by myself, what a great smallmouth fishery.

Ty you have to host your pictures on a place like Shutterfly http://www.bbcboards.net...38419

I haven't seen the final tournament results, but there were some nice smallies caught by just about everyone.

    Re: Newfound (TMG)

Real tough fishery unless you are hitting the beds. Newfound has the best launching facility in the State. Dual ramp with a dock up the middle. Truck/trailer parking and restrooms. I don't know if it cost anything to launch there. I went twice and both times it was before the collected.

    Re: Newfound (Mac)

Like Mac says, one of, if not the best launch ramp and parking in the state. Pre spawn, two fish limit, 16 fishing and we pulled out a 4.10, 4.07, and 2 4.02's. Total 99.16 pounds of smallies. We've never had to pay (state park), yet.

    Re: Newfound (FishNH)

Hahaha, Thanks FishNH. I am just a youngin and need some help.

We didn't catch a single bedding fish. All were prespawn fish corralling Alewifes on windblown shoreline. Never once took a bedding fish.

It was a real good day. The sad part... I can honestly say I threw back at LEAST 20 fish, 8 of them being 3.5 lbs. The rest from 2.5-3. It was a great day of fishing but very dissapointing throwing back MANY 3.5lb fish knowing that I will most likely kill someone for just ONE of them in future tournaments.

Summer time on Newfound, different story. VERY difficult.

    Re: Newfound (OThessalonikios)

We didn't see any bedding fish either and we were culling 3 pounders all day.
Ty did you notice we only missed winning that tournament by one once
or should I say two onces to win. It was a good tournament.

I think Squam will be great on the 16th, probably will still be some bedding
smallies and some largemouth in Dog Cove.
    A 4.02 and a 3.13.

    Re: Newfound (FishNH)

Yeah, it was amazing. Chris and myself weighed in 14.5 lbs for 4 smallmouth and came in 3rd or 4th. Not too many places where that happens...

I think Squam will be interesting. The fish will probably bedding in some areas and post-spawn in others. As always with Squam, Largies tend to win but we will see. 45mph speed limit will even the race to XXXXX cove (you know the one).

I am most likely going up north to fish this weekend. I fished the Nashua river for two hours after work on Tuesday. I only took one fish but it ended up being 4.5lbs so the trip was worth it. I am so excited to finally have a boat that I have been going out EVERY minute possible.

Yesterday I had to do a few shots of Jack Daniels before making my newest boat modification .... I added a Comfortroll (recessed foot tray) and it looks awesome. It was very difficult to get the nerve and take a Sawzall to my new boat however. I will have to show it to you soon. It really makes the front end look clean.

    You been out much?

    Re: Newfound (OThessalonikios)

Thanks Tim. 45 mph speed limit Ty, that's why I have a radar detector Just watch the rocks, Squam can be brutal. Hey if you need help with mods like that give me a shout. I think you'll like it much better recessed. Headin up to our place on Champlain for the long week-end, be back on Wednesday. I'm trying to get some guys together to do Squam on a week-day before the tournament, interested?

    Re: Newfound (FishNH)

Me and some old friends from HighSchool are renting a cabin on Squam from June 7-10 so I will be up there for a while. If you guys were to come anytime on sat or sun (9th and 10th) I would be up there.

I would definately like to get together with all of the guys from the club for a giant prefish.

As for boat mods, I will definately take you up on that. My next mod will be a Keelshield. After that, I don't know what to do. I have good electronics, recessed foot tray, Cooks Tackle Storage. Perhaps later in the year I will put in a CD player. Your Gambler has one correct?

CD player. Ty I may be old, but I'm still young at heart, or an old young guy.
Dude, my rides been pimped CD player, satellite radio, DVD
player, and now I just need a good amp and a sub.
If I get up to Squam, I want to go up on a week day and avoid the chaos.

WOW. I never saw that the last time I was in your boat. (Conn river last year).

Like I said, I will be there on Thursday and Friday too (7th and 8th).

TMG: Thanks for the congrats on the boat. I love having one. All I want to do is fish. I will most likely due Winni tomorrow and who knows where on Sunday. Below is my Champ:

Hopefully we all meet sometime and go fishing. Tight lines everyone.

    Re: Newfound (OThessalonikios)

Very nice ride! I have a 06 nitro 482 and love it. if Im not working, I'm fishing.
I was at winni last weekend for the derby. we launched at Ames farm $20 bucks but a very nice launch, two ramps and plenty of parking. after the derby we caught a few 3-4 pound smallies around rattlesnake Island.
I'm fishing saltwater tomorrow and I'll hit a the lakes sun and mon. three days of fishing,it doesen't get anny beter than that.

FishNH,you need a microwave and a coffee maker on that!!
