With any luck I won't go to Swains at all this year. I just don't like the Lake which is odd because two years ago my old partner and I took second place and a couple of hundred bucks. The best thing about that lake is it's fairly southern location. I am having a hard time with what Washington NH is near.

Washington is next to Hillsboro. I'll be on Lake Ashuleot. And I guess it's about 30 minutes Northeast of Keene. We'll have to get this NH site up and runnin, there's simply too much great water in NH

My friend has a place in Washington. She also lives real close to ashulot. I can use the ramp anytime I want but it would be a serious haul to fish that small lake. If I'm that far west, I'd rather fish Highland. I was living in Weare and moved to Newport. Now I'm on the coast. 3 moves in 4 years....what a nightmare. I have one more move to make.

I didn't even know this was here. Phil NH told me he had made a post and I looked high and low for it. I'll post here now that I know about it.

    Re: good Mornin (Jazz)

You guys surviving all this rain?

We had a tournament on Squam Saturday, besides all the rain and wind, awesome, awesome, awesome. Its was raining so hard we did the weigh-in in the portapottie

Swains can be awesome around the island and by the small bridge, but the parking is so bad we can't have a tournament there.

My club got bumped from Squam by F&G in favor of your club, you guys must have put your permit in ahead of us. We fished Wickwas instead and I won with 2 fish 7lbs and lunker 4.6ish. What did it take to win on Squam?

    Re: good Mornin (NH Phil)

Phil I think we were 3rd putting in for permits, we got all of our first choices. What club are you in? I guess you took lunker, our lunker was 3.65. I haven't seen the totals yet, but it must have been just under 7lbs., the winner had the 3.65 LM and a 3 plus SM. I've always liked Wicwas, but we're not fishing it this year. Moore's dam is next, but I have to miss that one due to a family event.

Castaways. Yea I took lunker a Lgmouth about 4.65lbs in fact my lunker was about .003oz less than the second place persons two fish together. IMHO Moore Dam is not worth the long haul.

    Re: good Mornin (NH Phil)

I've never been there, but some of the guys love the place. They're going up and spending acouple of days with a tournament on Saturday. Some of the guys go to that open tournament they hold there every year, I guess it draws a lot of people.

Are you guys out of Manchester?

    Re: good Mornin (TMG)

The more people that stumble on to this section of BBC the better it will get. Moore Res. is a wasted trip. The place is mostly smallmouth's and I prefer largemouths. The fish really haven't shown me any real size to warrant that long a trip. I've never been to Umbagog but it seems to have the same issue. There are ton's of fish but few and far between have any real size. Bow Lake is an excellent fishery but like everyone else has said, The parking is fair at best. I would like to see more ramps in NH looking like the ones on Squam and Newfound.

Phil, did you survive all the rain OK? We heard Milton got hit hard. How's Balch these days, I haven't fished it in years.

I'm wondering what all the flooding will do to the river fish. It must have relocated a lot of them to new territory.

WE did fine no water. Couldn't leave the house for two days but we are fine. I can't wait to see the rivers and the changes the flood might have caused.
