    Stockton Lake

Just got home from Stockton Lake today and I had a blast!!! Partner and I had 2 limits of walleye--caught more than that--lost a few, at least a 1/2 limit of keeper sized crappies, better than 1/2 a limit of white bass, 1 short smallmouth, 1 monster sized bluegill, and of course a drum (always on Stockton) All trolling for walleyes. From other fishing reports I have heard, Stockton is on fire and I'd say it seems to be. Had mostly the lake to ourselves,-- a few pleasure boaters but threat of weather kept most away I think!!

You trolling with crawlers and bottom bouncers or dragging hard baits?

My buddy Andy and his brother went to Stockton yesterday also. They said they probably
caught over 60 fish. Wow....that would be nice.

Andy and his brother caught a mix of largemouth, smallmouth, kentuckies, white bass
and yes, walleye. I wish I would have been with them, but of course I had to work.

    Re: Stockton Lake (ssimpala71)

We tore 'em up at Stockton this morning. Caught one on my first cast, my second cast,
missed one on my third cast, then caught 2 more on my 5th and 6th casts. Then it picked
up and we really hammered 'em. Really!!

I've been fish hungry for a couple of months now. So I finally saved a few for supper.
Fried potatoes, home made hushpuppies, fresh walleye and a couple of bass. Mmmmm.

We probably caught somewhere between 50 and 60 fish today. We put in 6:30am and
left the water around 2:00pm. We caught largemouth, smallmouth, kentuckies, and
    walleye. It was awesome.

Both the walleyes came from little horseshoe shaped sandy pockets. And they were
    VERY aggressive bites.

    Re: Stockton Lake (ssimpala71)

Made it back home!! Got rained on!!!! Everytime I go up there it rains!! Anyway, 2 keeper largemouth--16-17", 2 channel cats, 1 keeper crappie, and several big ole bull bluegill! It was still great to get out on the water no matter the outcome. No walleye this trip for me but my partner was in his boat and had 4 keepers before I left at 6:00pm

Andy and his brother went back to Stockton again this morning. He said he caught 41
bass and his brother caught 27. No whites or walleye this time. He had a 4 pounder on
    a spook.
