    Reinstalling VRO pump

My 88 XP 150 had the VRO removed and I want to put one back on and dump the electric pump setup that is on it at the moment. Got most of the parts lined up but can't seem to find any real good pictures of the pulse hose routing. Is there anywhere this can be found or does the factory service manual show this?

go to BRP .com and look up parts . you gotta punch all your motor info to get to the parts list you want . schematic should be what your looking for.

The pulse hose is a short hose there is no routing. It connects to the pulse fitting at the bottom of the front of the block. There should be a blue pulse nipple at the bottom, connect the hose to that nipple, then the hose connects to the second nipple on the vro closest to the block when the vro is attached th its bracket.

It is on the bottom port side of the crank case should be a short curved 3/8" ID hose.

    Re: Reinstalling VRO pump (ChampioNman)

Thank you all the replies, the issue I am running into is that everything was removed from the motor and what I have been trying to pictures of is where the pulse fitting actually goes into the motor. I have a couple ports with plugs in them and wasn't sure which one was right one.

Also I have read that it is better to use a nipple on the motor with the pulse fitting/flame arrestor installed inline instead of the one that screws into the crankcase?

Why would there be a difference? Do you have the VRO mounting bracket that attaches to the front side of the crank case?

Actually i wasn't sure why there would be a difference, just read something about using the newer flame arrestor was a good idea. As far as the mounting bracket, that's pretty much the last piece on my list of things to get and it seems to be a discontinued part for BRP so been trying to find one from outside sources that isn't going to cost an arm and leg.

I only asked because I may happen to have one. I also have new style pulse limiters both threaded and not. I would use the threaded style as you only have one hose to run to the pulse fitting on the pump.

If you could, shoot me an IM with the price for the mount and the threaded limiter please, this could make this whole process much simpler than expect.
