    Public THANKS to DirtMonkey

Just wanted to thank DirtMonkey for helping me out with my ABA tournament on Columbus this past weekend. I was coming from Florida with no information and limited practice time and asked for some help.

I gotta say, buddy, you went out of your way to help me out and I really appreciate it. Your information was very helpful. After driving all night thru horrendous weather I was shocked to see a zillion logs floating down the river towards me as a launched as soon as I got there. Not to mention the refrigerator and school bus floating by me totally threw me off my game for a minute or two! Anyway, great info from you, clearly described gave me the confidence to explore.

I ended up in 15th place with a ticket to the nationals! Not to bad for one of the only girls in the tourney! Poor guys that had to fish with me while I whupped thier butts were'nt to excited at the moment but even had to stand up and clap when they called my name in the top 20! haha!

Anyway.. I owe it to you. Great guy, good info and your willingness to help was really awesome!

    aw shucks, it weren't nothin...

I came by to meet you Friday after the weigh in, but got there a little late since I didn't get off work until 4.

Several people had asked me for help in the past few months for this tourney and I tried my best to give each one something different to do that could possibly produce. Lugan had to drop out due to his wife's illness, and a couple other guys had asked me about different areas and patterns. Given the horrible conditions, I think you did an excellent job (a grand total of 16 and change for two days won the thing) The guy that won was a local that used a jet powered aluminum rig to go up the Buttahatchie and ease over into some flooded gravel pits that are normally not accessible (as a matter of fact, is a posted club otherwise, but due to the law making everything accessible by water legal)
I'm glad if any info I gave you was helpful. Good luck at Dardanelle!

yeah, the guy that won sure did pull off an amazing feat considering the conditions. Everyone was laughing at his little boat at the morning launch but sure were paying attention when he hooked up to that new rig after the tourney! I sure wish I had found his spot. I am totally thrilled with my finish considering the circumstances. I cant thank you enough. If you decide to come to florida anytime soon we will put you on some hogs to make your trip worthwhile. Toho is one of those lakes that you can find some sweet ones!

    Thanks again!
