jack plate install on 2000 150 evinrude ?

This motor has a 04 powerhead and was wondering if it has factory lift eyes or not. I've looked and can't find anything that even looks like it could be a lifting attachment. A friend that has worked on outboards for a long time says they have them. If not I'll have to go with the harmonic balancer setup as the flywheel puller is an expensive tool that would probably not be used again by me.. The flywheel has a hole with internal threads in the center of it.. but I don't believe I"d trust it alone to hoist the engine.. model e150fplssm serial no. g04848076 thanks for any advice..

pretty sure it doesn't,I had to make one for my 01,225,and was fairly simple and less expensive than a oem one which is around $85..

The harmonic balancer puller will work fine. Use at least a 1/2 inch eyebolt, and 3 -5/16-24 fine thread bolts 3.5 inches long.

Ya'll need to put your glasses on and check the block again. On either side of the crank case there are lifting loops. Need to use a chain with hooks to lift it up.

Look under the flywheel where the crank case comes together. They are molded into the rear half of the case. You just have to look close the right side is triangular and the left side is rectangular. Pull up http://www.shop.evinrude.com click on your motor year and look for the cylinder and crankcase diagram. You will see the lift points. Lets see if this works.

If you look at the picture where the 1 is just in front is the port side lift point. And where the hose 96 is on the right side it you look you will see the STBD side lift point.

I recently installed new steering cables and I didn't see them the first pass either but like championman says they are there. They will have wiring harnesses tie strapped to them covering them partially.
