I have qualified for the Fed Nation regionals and was hoping to get some help from some locals. What baits and type of equipment (rods and reels) I need to bring. I not too big a fan of Ross Barnett. I caught 2 keepers in 3 days of competition. The guy that won our state caught 6 keepers in 3 days. The winning pattern was fishing ledges with crankbaits. The Louisianna team had some membes that had been there as much as a 6 months before the tournament.
I KNOW THOSE BOYS WHO WERE IN FIRST AND 2ND. THEY DID VISIT IT OFTEN. BUT THE ENTIRE LA. STATE TEAM WORKED AS A TEAM. THOSE BOYS TAKE THEIR FISHING VERY SERIOUSLY. THEY DO QUITE WELL AT IT. WATCH THE MORGAN CITY AREA TOURNAMENTS AND THEY GET THEIR SHARE OF THE PIE WEEKEND AND WEEK OUT. BUT THEY PUT IN THE TIME ON THE WATER. WISH I HAD THAT KIND OF TIME TO PUT IN!
