thanx ill try that next time, i just got off the lake fished it for 6 hours and not a single fish are there any reeds better such as north shore reeds or just the random reeds that jut out in the lake? Also what color jig works best on this lake? and just throw to the edge or actually far back in there?

sorry for all the questions im still very new to bass fishing.

i would fish any of the reeds... chuck that jig as far back as you can,and work it nice and slow... Make sure you have a pole and line that can handle rippin em out of the thick stuff...

That lake has a small population of bass...likely a lot smaller now than 2 or 3 years ago cuz fish don't live forever, and we've had a couple rough winters. It has been geting a lot of pressure the last two years, and fishing has been tougher and tougher every year. If I ever go back there, i'd likely stay off the bank where everyone fishes.

The lake has seen better days, and likely will never be the same. There's still some big fish in there...just a lot harder to figure out.

Good luck, and let us know how you do.
