    OPENER '09

    So how did we do?

We went to Quamba and caught some crappies and walleyes. Front came through on Sat. shut lake down.. We packed up and went to Knife (MORA). It was like being in rush hour. Have never seen it that busy.
Didn't catch a keeper but caught alot of smallmouth.

    Re: OPENER '09 (fishrgolf)

A lot of large crappies 3/4 lbs no walleyes on Minnetonka. There were tons of boats I heard walleyes were biting real early before light on the reefs. They were using flukes and fishing almost motionless. A lot of bass between crappies 3 plus range. All the fish I've caught have looked real healthy, its all ready been another classic Spring bite.

Leech, Winnie, millacs etc had a turnout not seen in 15 years ramps were packed and trailers lined up on the highways. From all the guides they said every one was catching em everywhere with 300 plus boats at each lake they were also catching 12-14 inch perch.

I got out on sunday for two hours with only a dink of a perch to show for it on N. Long lake. Should have gone to a different lake!
