I was told about a lake near Forest Hill called Cocodrie (spl) I went and found two ramps but you can not see the lake, both launches were in the trees, I heard it was good fishing.

It is not far from Chicot, little north I believe?
north and west id say maybe 25-30 miles...you turn off hwy.13 in turkey creek...everybody here calls them pike...never heard anything mentioned about a pickerel before
That is it, we were by Turkey Creek, had to travel down a dirt road to get to a camp that rented boats for the lake, launch was in the middle of a swamp. I talked to a guy that said there was some good Bass fishing in that lake. It would be nice if it was a good place to fish as close as it is.
Never been there, but do know that Chain pickerel are rampant in those waters...they are very closely related to a pike and look just like them....
