Evinrude ETec 200

I am looking at a 196 Triton with a 200 ETec about 200 miles from my house and I just wanted a little info before I go look at this boat . I have email the guy as to what year the motor is he did not put in the ad . I do not know anything about this motor or know what to ask

Without the model # it's hard to say, as they now make a 200 60* and the big block. If it's the big block and engine checks out I'd go for it. JMHO

This one has the 2.6 200 new motor is this the big block? thanks

Brannor, the 2.6 is the small block.

That 2.6 should push a 19.6 pretty well, unless you're a speed demon, then I would go for a big block. JMHO
