my motor j115glecm 98 faststrike 115 has never had an impeller change. the guy i bought the boat from used it maybe 5 times a year until i bought it last year. the water pump seems to work fine, it pees good and the water pressure gauge reads 20 something at wot. should i change the impeller or just not worry about it until i have problems?
3 years or 300 hours is the max you should run it,less if you run shallow and pick up a lot of grit.
where can i get the kit for my motor to change it?
Your local BRP dealer will have it or http://www.shop.evinrude.com has them. You'll want to order # 5001595 that is the complete kit.
If it's been that long, I would get the kit, not just the impeller. JMHO
