West Frankfort New City lake 9-4-06

    6:00am - 12:00pm

    Water: 8-10" visibility, 76-79 degrees

    Wind: from S at 10-15

Fishing: Stunk worse. Caught 2 fish, one on a jig and one on a lizard. Neither was bigger than 13". NO good bites of any kind. I threw almost everything in my box.

Next weekend, I'm gonna take some dynamite. The way it's going lately, I gotta do something...

What brings you to WF Lake? I live about 1.5 miles from there. Fished there about 3 times in the past 10 years. The old city lake is much better IMO. Less than a mile from home and the fish are at least cooperative. Good place to go when I only have an hour or two to fish. Occasionaly I get some funny looks at the ramp. It's a no wake lake so there's not many higher HP boats on it besides me.

How long have you lived there?

I grew up just outside of T'ville, went to school there, and my folks still live just South of town (on Corinth blktp).

I like the old lake better too, but we didn't even go check it out this weekend. I figured, as low as the water is everywhere else, it'd be pretty shallow. And the ramp is nicer at the new lake.

Wow! Small world, huh? Lived within a two mile area here ever since I was a kid. Went to WF School though. Next time you visit your folks and your bored, look me up. My full name is under my profile and my phone number is in the T'ville phone book.

Sounds good Jeff. Maybe you can show me a secret hole or two on the old lake!
