2002 Evinrude 250 RAM. What's your take?

Posting this for a buddy of mine. What is everyone's take on the motor. This is his post from another board.

"I'm looking at a boat that has a 2002 evinrude 250 RAM motor. From what I was able to find, this is a FICHT motor.
Does anyone have any advice, problems, complaints, compliments, etc on these motors?
I'm not too worried about the mpg and the motor does have 280 hours on it. I will get it diagnosed, but wanted opinions first."

That's the first year BRP took over, Good engines, good power, and better than the carb engines on fuel and oil.
