Im no expert, but I can give you some info.
If you want to catch peacock bass, the canals around the miami international airport are known to have them. Use crankbaits or shiners.
The boat launch is at a small park on a lake near the airport. I think it is called clear lake.. or blue lake ?Watch out for the jet skiers.
If you are looking for largemouth bass, head over to loxahatchee.
It is located at the end of Lox road at the broward / palm beach county line west of SR 7 441. Fish the sawgrass flats with soft plastics or crankbaits.
Holiday park, alligator alley, and the Ida/ Osbourne chain are slow due to high water from all the rain we have been having lately.
If your boat is large enough for the ocean, thats where I would be fishing.
Hillsboro inlet is a few minutes north of lake santa barbara.
Kingfish, snapper, dolfin, tuna, grouper, cobia..etc
Live bait freelined is best, but you can do OK with frozen sardines.
If you have never ventured out the hillsboro inlet before, make sure you observe the channel markers and the water depth as you go out. There is a shallow reef located straight out from the channel.
Good luck and have a good time.
