Can any of you FL boy's tell me what the lake level on Cresent Lake is?
Is the water still really low?
I want to get down there this weekend and and see what the Bass are doin. I live just north of Jax and its about a 2 hour drive. Would like to know before I drive all the way down there.
last weekend the water was low... but it was really low everywhere due to a strong low tide from the new moon last wednesday.... it is probably back up somewhat now... but i havent been down there since saturday....good luck if you go in there.. i have always had troubles with that mud hole.... but i know other guys who swear there is no better place to catch bunches of 3 and 4 lbers.... anyway... hope this helps....
I went out there last week looking for beds with a push pole and got stuck about 3 or 4 times. The water is really low and there were some beds with no fish on them in about 8-10" of water.
Think there done spawnin or just done with round one?
probably round one.... definitely not done.... water should be back in there by now...
K dog, I would just put in @ trout creek/Black Creek or some place you can run all over the river finding beds in all the cove's down that way....Me i hate Cresent Lake there are no bass there anymore..(again Me ) waist of gas!!
I have never done very well on the St. Johns. But I have had good luck on Crescent for some reason. If there not on bed there I am gonna load up and hit Lake Stella and if that don't pay off. I am gonna head to Welaka and hit the canals around there. Need to hook up with some of you guy's and fish around the Black Creek area. I have never fished around there before. Thanks Fellas.
Hey Randy! If I were you I'd go fish Lake Geoge right now!Maybe hit Lake Kerr while there too!

Word I got is its slowing down on George. Saltrun is still going I here though. I just don't want to get in line behind a crowd and go after fish that have been pounded on George. I think I will do better on Crescent because of less pressure. Just my opinion.
Well, I didnt see any bedding fish other than some carp. Water temp was 63 at day light and 75 by 1:00. I saw alot of fry and I mean alot. Losing 2 fish = long day. Before I go back to the St. Johns or adjacent lake I need a push pole. There is abought 3 times as much eel grass as there was last time I went. I even saw hydrilla. But, didnt see any bedding Bass. Wonder if it's over?
