Has anyone been out on Istokpoga lately? Went out yesterday and could not buy a bite. Never been there before, looked great but could not find 'em. Tried the grass off the larger of the two islands in deeper water, the reeds along the shore, pads and one of the canals with no luck. Any help would be great, locations, lures, colors etc. This was my first time fishing since moving to Florida and I would like my next time to be much better. Thanks in advance.......
I don't know what the water levels are like, but last time I was there they were pretty low. I always have luck in the northeast corner. Find the patches of pads that allow you to get all the way around them (360). I like to flip creature baits or crawdad imitations with heavy line in there.

When we were there for the club tx, there were some patches of hydrilla off the SE corner of BumbleBee Island.. (Not so thick that ya cant fish it like some areas of the lake) If there still there, try drifting along with a t-rigged worm (junebug or black/blue should do) and ya should catch a few!
