motor mounts on 1989 175 XP

I just bought a boat with a 1989 175 XP. Sorry, I don't have the model # handy.

I have heard that these motors are notorious for wearing out or breaking motor mounts. What can I do to check the motor mounts? What are symptoms of worn out mounts? Forgive my ignorance, but where are the mounts located on this motor? A part # would be great, but I can look it up myself @ evinrude.com once I know what to look for. Thanks in advance...

they are located up under your power head and also on each side of your housing just above where your lower unit connects i havent needed any thankfully but i think your motor will vibrate alot while running if you can hold your grab your moror and rock it then your mounts are worn out they are made of rubber can snd you a pic are tell me how to load up one on this site
