Man, surely someone's been fishing.. or has the heat had all of us in the house enjoying the air conditioning? I'm hoping to get out over the weekend. Wish I wasnt working today, its the best looking day we've had in forever for fishing.

When that thermometer is north of 90 heading to 100, this ol boy ain't going fishing not even at night. Besides, probably wouldn't be worth the effort any way this time of year.

I've been fishing almost every weekend, but in Oklahoma..............

Went to Eufaula last Friday night and did pretty good.......

Nothing over about 2 1/2, but we had fun.........and I didn't have to worry about getting my sideways "D" burnt.............

I went down to the Ouachita River last weekend and did ok.Fish schooled for a little while in the back water early. Caught a few spots in the river on cranks later on. Had to keep jumping in to stay cool .

Wonder if its possible to get a moon burn on your head?? Man I've got to find some free time to come out that way and go fishing with you.. Bad thing is I keep telling BassJunkie that I am going to come to Ouachita with him too but I just cant get any free time on the weekends.. I'm hoping after this weekend I will be able to find some. Last Friday Jim and I fished the "top secret" lake that I took you too, we caught 7 but they were all small pound to pound-n-half fish except for one, it was around 3 or so. I hope to hit it sometime this weekend, got some family functions so I plan on being up that way all weekend so I figure I will drag the boat up there

Sounds like fun lineman, I love getting into schooling fish this time of the year! BTW, welcome to the boards, I dont guess I have ever seen you post before

Jay you ain't missing nothing on Lake Ouachita right now. I have fished at night the last two weekends and it was very slow. I can catch some fish on Hamilton out of brush piles but the boat traffic is so bad out there this time of year you need a kidney belt, mouthpiece and a helmet.

My old man caught a few this morning but he said they didn't school like last weekend. I've got honey does tomorrow but I'll be fishing SUNDAY!
