Looking for guide or help fishing Bull schoals Lake.

Hello everyone. I'm heading to Bull Shoals lake for the first time. I'm going to visit a friend in Arkansas and he's really close to the lake. I like to fish crappies and Walleye. What's the best time of year for these fish species? Maybe I should fish a different species. What do you think? I'm thinking about getting a guide because the lake is so big and I'm just an average fisherman. Any suggestions on a guide? Do you think my 17.5 Hydrasport bass boat is big enough for those waters? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Alex

Your Hydrasport ought to be OK as long as there are no storms coming in and bringing with it lots of wind and whitecaps while you're on the lake
