We had our first “Ain’t God Good Open out of the Pell City Civic Ramp on Logan Martin Saturday. Our Friday night meeting had hot fried chicken and all the trimmings with home made deserts. Our speaker was Rick Hughes, and he spoke about the need to be ready to meet God. What a blessing to hear someone stand and say “God loves you and has a plan for your life”. The Saturday morning blast off was in a good rain and it continued raining all day right through the weigh in. We had 26 boats and most all the teams caught a good limit of bass. Randy Barber fishing by himself caught the best sack at 17.13 pounds. The team of Canada / Humphries came in 2nd with 16.13 with Hurst / McCartney finishing 3rd place with 14.78. The big fish for the tournament was 5.6 pounds caught by Chandler / Gregory. The talk was that fish were caught on crank bait, Carolina rigs and spinner baits. I want to thank a lot of people that helped us at the tournament but really we just want to brag on God for letting us get out and enjoy the great weekend and hear someone preach about Jesus and how anyone can go to heaven if they receive Jesus as their Saviour. “Ain’t God Good”
