    Gunterville / Fishers of Men

We had our Fishers of Men Regional tournament on Guntersville this weekend. With 180 boats there were a lot of limits. The winners had a little over 40 pounds for 2 days and everyone else right behind them. For the winners they received a new boat and 2nd place was over $3,000. Not bad for a couple of days doing what we all love to do! Big fish for the tournament was 8 1/2 pounds. A lot of people caught fish on rats on Sat with the cloud cover. I did get to fish a couple of hours after we blasted everyone off and caught several fish on a spinner bait. This trail is a great! I want to encourage you to check out the FOM web page for the information about the Big Regional at Guntersville this past weekend! “Ain‘t God Good”

I had a blast, won a rod at the meeting and caught my personal best on Guntersville in practice.

We had a blast as well. One of the best ran tournaments you can fish. The grass we were fishing a month ago already died out. Couldnt get on any good fish but had a good time anyway..

my practice went great but the tournament went down hill. I've decided not to practice any more.

Well, practice is supposed to make things perfect! But, thats a nice Toad my friend. Glad it was your personal best! But, there are more out there bigger than that! So, get out there and find them!

Yeah I saw one Sat parting ways with my new crank-bait, guess I shouldn't have used 10lb line.

Next time, try using Fireline 14lb test. Has the diameter of 8lb. test. Just back off the drag a little and they won't tear away from you next time. Good Luck!!

Well that would be nice if he hadn't swallowed it to his butt. My line was frayed at the end about for about 8in. I have caught 6 and 7lb fish in the grass on 8lb test line but have never had a fish swallow a 4in crank bait like that before.

Damn! He must've really liked it! Need to get some more of those. Did you paint the color on or was it stock??
