Logan Martin / Coosa River love needed

Howdy,

I have a friend comming from Atlanta to fish with me. I live in Chelsea. I am going to meet him at Riverside Marina just off of I-20 on Tuesday morning. Can someone please point me in the right direction. Just a couple of areas to try. I have no clue about the area. I have been fishing Lay and learning it. I have never been in Logan Martin. I checked out the ramp at the marina today and the gentleman behind the counter was less than helpful on pointing me in any direction. He said theiy are biting everywhere...just go fish. Less than helpful. Just a little help would be mucho appreciated. If you do not want to post on here, please IM me or email me.

Use your standard summer patterns, and generally what is working on Lay I would assume will be working close to the same om LM. If they are pulling current look for schooling activity, if no current is being generated then main lake points, rip rap, docks with 6-8 feet of water,and submerged grass lines in 5 feet or more. I would have a top water rod out all day just in case also, a t-rigged trick worm in any of your favorite watermelon, watermelon red, green pumpkin colors. Same worms rigged on shaky head, should produce. Fish the creek mouth openings and try to find some ledges with you electronics or map. If the wind picks up then a small spinnerbait and or Rattle Trap may get you some bites, but it is a little early for that bite. I have only been on LM twice so take this for what it's worth, it is an awesome lake with 1000s of boat docks, and it does have some shallow water areas pay attention to the main channel.
