Wheeler Lake Fri night tips?

My cousin and I are heading to Wheeler bout 10:00. Any tips on where to go or what to concentrate on since this cool spell? Thanks in advance.

It depends on where you are going to go. I fish the flats so I would fish scattered shallow mil-foil with a big thumper blade spinner bait. If you are fishing down river fish points with a worm and a blade. Hope this helps

I agree with Eric. If you are in Decatur fishing try the thumper spinnerbait on back side of channel on the 4-7 break line. Big "Dead Ringer" worms by zoom work well due to the large tail giving off alot of vibration. The fish seem to get more aggressive a good hour or so after dark.

Down river I would be working points with thumper SP's and jigs.

I appreciate the advice from all. Unfortunately we caught just one bass at 3:00 am up towards 2nd creek. The bite seemed to be slow, but it was still better than sitting around the house!
