Elk River and Spring Creek area. The Elk is on right now buzz bait, blade they were hammering it. No size all in the 2lb range. I lost one good fish in a log jam. Spring Creek area caught a couple of three pound fish on transition banks on the main river. Good luck out and be careful in the Elk the water is down.
Hey Eric I finally made it down there at about 9 and stayed until 11. We caught a few. Like you said they are sucking the bottom out of it. Did you catch most of yours in the morning? I figured it was better earlier this morning than it was when I was there.
Yeah, they were backing water early and then they started pulling water about 9 or so that's when the bite shut down.
Thanks Eric thats good to know. I do not feel so bad now. I have a work tourny down there Sat morning and I guess I had better get on them early because from what I saw as you said around 9 or 10 it is going to get tough unless the weather changes and TVA quits sucking all the water out of the River.
Well its nice to be back on the board. My computer went off its rocker about 4 weeks ago and I have went crazy not being able to see what going on the BBC.The elk river is still hot right now with spinnerbaits and swallow cranks ( bandits). You just have to go thourgh alot of samller ones to get that good fish. The last cold front slowed them down a little but I beleive it will be red hot in the next couple of weeks it the weather stays stable. Go get them!
