does anyone build custom buzz baits. The kind I am refering to has looks like a double ended pop rivet on the shaft of the bait for a clacker.
I am working on a project and would like to know where to find them and what they are called.
thanks![]()

I make a lot of buzzbaits for me and some friends but I have never seen that one anywhere.

I always heard them called buzzbait rivets. I have checked 12 sites and no one has anything close.![]()
Why not just use a single sided rivet and crimp it in place?
"The man of system is apt to be very wise in his own conceit; and is often so enamored with the supposed beauty of his own ideal plan of government that he cannot suffer the smallest deviation from any part of it…He seems to imagine that he can arrange the different members of a great society with as much ease as the hand arranges the different pieces upon a chessboard.” Adam Smith, The Theory of Moral Sentiments
Looks like you could drill a rivet a little smaller than the dia. of the tubing that goes thru it and get some small tubing to press in the rivet.
May have to end up doing that........Trying to fix a shop piece a little different so may just have to custom build something........got a buzz bait with that on it and thought something like that may just do the trick![]()

you can get large headed rivets at most hardware stores. some have heads or flange up to half-inch. check those out.![]()
Here is what I made for a customer in a rivet buzzbait
I looked and couldnt find a double ended rivet like you have in your picture

I dont see the benefit of the rivit. The blade could just as well hit the wire if bent down a very small amount... I'd rather just use a clacker.

I has a whole different sound then the clacker
Looks more like a weed collector right infront of that nice weedless head to me..![]()
Not sure this fish will respond any different if it hits the wire, clacker or rivit..![]()
