Cheaper to keep a kid in tourney fishing than paying attorneys to keep them out of jail !!
Run down to the hardware store and get a roll of mesh drywall tape.
masking tape will work just fine also - little heavier and just be sure to space it out and fully encase the tape and voids with rod-bond. A quick tip with the mesh - try a little 5 minute epoxy and some masking tape to get it to stay put before hitting with rod bond and installing the seat.
